NEW RELEASE: ZOLA MARCELLE AND BRIGGS THE WORDSMITH— CRYING IN THE DARK

I discovered this song some days ago and I really love it. “Crying in the dark” by Zola Marcelle and spoken word poet Briggs the wordsmith  and produced by the incredible Aron kyne is a soothing and soulful tune laced with meaningful lyrics and jazzy undertones.

Galactic jazz is how Zola Marcelle describes her sound, and I think it’s actually kind of a perfect description. As I soak the music, thoughts come flooding —— “ if Nina Simone and Maya Angelou had a baby raised by Julie Dexter, Zola Marcelle is that talented baby. 

Briggs The Wordsmith’s poetic prowess and intelligent wordplay is undeniable. Zola Marcelle’s soulful vocals simmers along on a jazzy-tinged instrumentation. Aron Kyne did an impressive job producing this soulful masterpiece.
