NEW RELEASE: Bryan The Mensah ft. Blaqbonez — Grease

For your sake, I always comb the internet in search of new sounds. It’s your God-given right to update your playlist with new songs,always— you don’t have to listen to me, but we all know it’s the truth. Without further ado, let’s dig in!

“Grease” is the song I’m reviewing today.  Bryan the mensah (Ghanaian hip-hop music producer and artiste) Features Blaqbonez on this track. 

The beat just drops: it begins with a brief staccato Piano sound, then it cuts to a soft melodic electric guitar strum — other sounds add in. “ I can never sell my soul for some progress, if I did I’ll be broke” — Bryan The Mensah sings in the opening seconds of the song. There’s so much emotion in his voice, but it’s firm and bold. The drum lines drop — a build up — wow. Let’s go!The beat is a monstrous hip-hop sound. I’m hyper now! They launch into a fiery-punchline delivery mode and I’m in for it.  The confidence level  on this album is dope. “Grease” contextualizes the struggles of life, low key inspirational messages for success , hard work and Gratitude. There are  some pretty crazy lyrics that I didn’t miss — like: “ New bitch on my big dick”. I love the lusty lines, although it doesn’t add any special flavor to the track or it’s message.

The energy in the song  is very consistent from start to finish and the message is clear. A soaring female vocal is sampled for the track — it adds a dope feeling where it was dropped. 

Even though I can’t catch every punchline, this song’s vibe makes me wanna stop talking  and work hard to achieve my dreams. 

Blaq Bonez and Bryan The Mensah are both great artistes......and I can’t wait to hear more projects from them.
